FRIDAY (November 11th) WAS OUR 16 MONTH ANNIVERSARY

i am promising to myself and to brett that this wil be the last anniversary picture i will submit ANYWHERE because i feel and wish for brett to allow him to cherish it to himself; he's been through and is going through more than one can imagine or comprehend, more than i can intake myself. i can't even associate with the atrocity of what he is going through and i want each piece to bear its significance everytime i devote my heart into them.

i finished this piece on Sunday [November 20th] having started the Friday of the previous week [on our anniversary; November 11th] and decided to submit it now since i always allow brett to cherish it to himself =T__T= he is the sweetest person ever, ever, ever!!!!

this is, by far, the longest time and most effort [and losing the most patience~] i have spent on a single piece @__@;; this beats my *hugeazz* mural-like painting that i did in junior high that is hanging in my dining room [the 5th piece i did using acyrlics and last painting that i have done until just about a month ago o_o;;]

this is mainly due to the remarkably huge resolution i was working in.. [why..why..T___T;;] the original size of the piece is VERY CLOSE to 3,000 by 4,000 and i am not even overexaggerating. i also tend to work in 200% resolution to add to that..

also this is probably the longest time i have spent on a single sketch.. while i was working on it i was very indecisive on the pose, which way the wind should be blowing, and the overall composition of the piece. i originally intended for brett to have two wings instead of a single one according to my original designs/previous 2 drafts, however the second wing would have skewed the composition T_T;; thus my skirt reminiscing that of a wing so it won't interupt the flow along with the staff balancing out the over-sized sword. as i kept going with the sketch i added little details onto the outfit..which i was also indecisive on because my original designs didn't suit the particular atmosphere i was aiming for which i didn't realize was called "etherealism" until ~emirare pointed it out on R.I. with my b&w preview~

not only that, but because this piece was so massive, my Deleter program couldn't take it and didn't have sufficient memory for me to work on it. while i was working on the present it deleted 5 of my layers =T_____T=;;. the first two times really discouraged me because it was the layers for brett's cape x_____xll... after that i didn't want to work on it and i almost cried over it because i spent so much effort on it. it didn't allow me to retrieve it or anything.. occassionally, it wouldn't let me create another layer and also it wouldn't allow me to merge layers together [thus deleting the layer].. after i got over that [took me three days =0=;;] i started saving after every 3-5 minutes so it wouldn't happen. my brother put more ram in my computer and i was hoping that it wouldn't happen again, so i forgot to save..but guess what happen =____=;;.... yeah.. lot's of discouragement.

before i continue to write numerous paragraphs concerning my process of this piece for my hunnie bunnie xD~..overall, i am very pleased with how this piece turned out [even though when shrunk by billioooooons it screws up the image and my coloring details are less-noticeable].
