"My Angel"

dedicated to my hunnie bunnie for our 15 month anniversary [Tuesday October, 11th '05] and also as a way of conveying how i feel about him.

i finished this on Sunday [the 16th] because i wasn't able to complete it the weekend before due to my AP Studio Art concentration #2: Reflection that i had to finish -___-.. and then.. that thing happened [i am still not up for explaining it] =T__T=;;;; so i wasn't able to concentrate and i was constantly down and unable to concentrate or finish my homework and i had trouble getting sufficient amount of sleep due to stress and my homework load. i am more than happy that him and his family are safe i wish nothing but the best for brett and his family.

the title "My Angel" and being portrayed as an angel is to depict how i view brett in my life. last year [specifically during the months of August - October/early November] was probably the hardest and most devasting time in my life. i don't want to in-depth concerning that, but only my few best/close friends and brett of course, know about this situation and my health problems very vividly.

through this portion of my life, i was able to realize how easily people can take advantage of me, how corrupt my family was, who were really my friends and who weren't; who were just using me, who had no consideracy whether or not i was in the hospital, who were supporting me, who were talking behind my back. only brett was able to pull me through every single one of those hardships. he still continues to support me in every single way possible as i continue to try to erase my painful past away from my heart even though it is what carved myself to how i am now.

brett has had the most significant impact on my life and it is astonishing how my family is able to recognize what an important figure he is in my life. he has eliminated my pessimistic, gloomy views on life bringing a new, luminous, optimistic and overall good outlook on life. because of him i was also able to become more assertive and more aware of the fraudulent society which is what has devasted my life. it is a first in my family to allow someone very close [i have 2 older brothers and 1 older sister, all who every time brought their close friend/bf/gf was unaccepted/disputed] to be accepted willingly. as my sister told me her thoughts "I believe God has deliberately placed Brett in your life at the right place, at the right time," is something i can't agree more on.

i had a particularly hard time with the lineart [even though i spent an hour on it >o>;;] and with brett's arm/hand. i KNOW it doesn't look convincing or whatever since i tend to make my characters all elongated, but it looked right to me until i colored it :l i also didn't notice how i messed up on my fingers/hands until i colored it..

i had NO intention to make the background look similar to oUr 10 month anniv. 2005 [link] but it just turned out that way O.o;; i really didn't have an idea of how to do the background for this, so i did random.. and it turned out like that xD with STARS!!

IN-DEPTH CRITIQUE DISCOURAGED BECAUSE I AM SATISFIED WITH IT [even knowing my errors in it T__T;;]
